Scepter takes Safety & Compliance very seriously. That's one of the reasons we sponsor the National Gasoline Safety Project.
The goal of the National Gasoline Safety Project is to stop gas fires. The campaign reaches out to parents because they are their children’s first line of defense. Parents buy gasoline, choose where and how to store it at home, and teach their children how to handle gasoline – both through what they say and what they do. We want every parent to be aware of the dangers. As a manufacturer of gas cans, we ensure our containers meet or exceed ASTM F2517-17 "Standard Specification for Determination of Child Resistance of Portable Fuel Containers for Consumer Use."
We strongly recommend that all parents visit "Stop Gas Fires" at http://www.stopgasfires.org and have a conversation with their children about the dangers of gasoline.
